Temporary Pool Hours - 9:30am until 8:30pm (ends 6/17/2025)

Hi everyone! We wanted to provide some clarity on the current situation with the pool hours. As of about a week and a half ago, we had to move up the close time to 8:30pm instead of 9:30pm. This happened because of safety concerns with regards to the lighting in and around the pool.

As you all know, pool maintenance had been spotty at best for quite a few years before the new board took over late last pool season. Unfortunately, the lack of maintenance and some improperly attempted repairs caused some issues with the lighting. At some point, the lights in the pool, the light above the bathrooms and the parking lot lights were all tied into the same timer while still being on separate circuits. When the timer would kick on, the lights on the parking lot pole would turn on but the in-water and cabana light would not.

After consulting with an electrician, they informed us that even though the parking lot lights and the other lights were on separate breakers, since they were all tied together through the timer the power draw from all of them was causing the lower amp breaker for the pool and cabana lights to trip. That means that, for now, we can't have both on at the same time.

To remain compliant with our obligations to the insurance company and our operating license from the county, we had to adjust the hours since we could not provide a safe, lit environment in and around the pool.
